Implement a Direct Marketing Strategy to Deliver Contacts to Your Optin List

The Internet has totally changed how all of us approach business. In any business all of the time we should be trying to target buyers, identify them and try to secure them as customers.

So the object in any business and particularly on the Internet is to get to make new contacts, develop a relationship create customers and make sales.

Email and using direct marketing methods is an approach that we can use as it is a sales method by which suppliers of a particular product or service can
approach their target market.

When businesses use direct mail I'm sure you get as annoyed as me when you receive information you did not request and that's not appropriate to your needs or wants. This is unsolicited direct mail.
However, direct marketing can be used effectively where a target audience has expressed an interest by having opted in to a mailing list.

Using those two examples and you will clearly see which is going to be most effective for us to use in our marketing efforts, clearly mailing to an opt in mailing list.

Consider now how important list building is as part of any business success no matter how large or small the business. You build a database of people who have an interest in your niche market or your products and they have indicated that interest by opting into your list.

When you have such a list you are in the powerful position where you can send information at any time and provided you give top-quality service and products you will build a lasting relationship. If you don't build a list you can't and won't have that vital relationship.

To start building your list you need to be able to ask people for their contact details, an email address. There are many ways to do this, one of the best of which is to offer a high value free gift in the form of a helpful report or e-book in exchange for their email address. This is just one of many ways of growing your list. However, it's important to use different tactics to keep working at growing your list at all times.

Something that is easily overlooked is that doing business online is still a person-to-person activity. It's impossible to stress this fact too much and emphasise the relationship aspect of this form of doing business.
When discussing earlier to subject of direct marketing we were considering the gaining of a new customer.
With an online business there are three key activities that will grow your business.

1. Secure new prospects into your list and convert them over time to customers. (grow your list)
2. Source and sell additional top-quality relevant product to your list.
3. Build your relationship so that it is so strong that you have customers for life.
When you consider the foregoing it is clear that all times your conduct and activity should be based on personal integrity.

You are not sending out unsolicited information you are only working with someone who has a need and an interest. You are building a sound relationship with integrity that it is based on mutual respect and a shared interest.

Provided you can work in this way your business will flourish and continue to grow.
Direct marketing to a growing opt in list is an incredibly effective way to establish and grow your business. A strong respectful relationship delivering quality content at all times and remember to keep working at the three activities that will grow your business.
